Privacy Policy

Notice provided pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018 ("Privacy Code"). This notice refers exclusively to the website dosami.wearesquirrelsolutions.com ("Dosami"). Dosami is operated by an Italian sole proprietorship; this English version is provided for convenience and the Italian text remains the legally binding reference.

2. Types of data processed

Dosami is a recipe quantity conversion and ingredient substitution tool that can be used without registration, login or submission of personal data through a form. The site does not collect identifying data (first name, last name, email) since there is no contact form or user account.

The data processed is limited to:

• Technical navigation data automatically collected by the server (e.g. IP address, user agent) in system logs, kept for the minimum time necessary to ensure security
• Aggregated and anonymised usage data, collected through the statistical analysis tool described in point 11

3. Purpose of processing

The data is processed exclusively for the following purposes:

• Ensuring the correct functioning and security of the website
• Analysing site usage in aggregated and anonymous form for statistical purposes

The site does not carry out marketing activities, does not send newsletters or promotional communications, and does not collect data for profiling purposes.

4. Legal basis of processing

• Legitimate interest of the Controller for website security purposes and abuse prevention (art. 6.1.f GDPR)
• Legal obligations (art. 6.1.c GDPR), where applicable

5. Nature of data provision

Using Dosami does not require the user to provide any personal data. The technical data automatically collected (navigation logs) is necessary solely for the technical operation of the service and is not voluntarily provided by the user.

6. Processing methods and security measures

Processing is carried out using IT and telematic tools, with logic strictly related to the purposes for which the data is collected, in compliance with the purpose limitation principle and the other principles set out in art. 5 GDPR. Specific technical and organisational measures are adopted to prevent data loss, unlawful or incorrect use, and unauthorised access. The data is stored on infrastructure (VPS) owned by the Controller, hosted on third-party physical servers located in Germany.

7. Data retention

Technical system logs are kept for the minimum time necessary to ensure the security of the service, according to standard technical timeframes, and subsequently deleted or anonymised.

Statistical data collected via Umami is anonymised and does not allow the visitor to be identified: since it does not constitute personal data under art. 4.1 GDPR, it may be retained by the Controller for as long as deemed appropriate for statistical purposes.

8. Data communication and disclosure

The data collected is not communicated to third-party providers. The technical infrastructure (VPS) on which it is hosted is owned by the Controller; the underlying physical servers are provided by a data centre located in Germany, which acts as an infrastructure provider without access to the data processed. The data will not be disclosed.

9. Transfer of data outside the EU

No data transfers to countries outside the EU are envisaged. The infrastructure on which the data is stored is located in Germany, within the European Union.

10. Data subject rights

The user may exercise at any time the rights provided for in articles 15–22 GDPR, including:

• Access to data
• Rectification or erasure
• Restriction of processing
• Data portability
• Objection to processing
• Lodging a complaint with the Data Protection Authority

11. Statistical analysis tools

The site uses Umami, a self-hosted statistical analysis tool running on the Controller's own infrastructure (server in Germany). Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personal data: the data collected (pages visited, traffic source, device type, country of origin in aggregated form) is anonymised and does not allow the individual visitor to be identified. This data does not fall within the definition of "personal data" under art. 4.1 GDPR, and prior consent via a cookie banner is not required.

12. Cookies

The site does not use profiling cookies or third-party cookies. There are no technical cookies requiring specific notice beyond this one.

13. Automated decision-making

The Controller does not use automated decision-making processes or profiling systems that produce legal effects on the data subject.

14. Site audience

Dosami is a free recipe conversion tool and is not specifically aimed at minors. The service does not require registration or the collection of identifying data, so no further age-related access restrictions apply.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This notice may be subject to change, including as a result of regulatory changes, the introduction of new tools (for example third-party advertising services) or changes to the activity carried out. Should third-party cookies or tools requiring consent be introduced, this notice will be updated and a dedicated consent-collection mechanism will be implemented. We recommend checking it periodically. The last update date is shown at the top of the document.
